Supporting Good Causes

Since May 2012, Maestro Music Tutoring Services decided to conduct a Music Practice-A-Thon to raise money for charities that are close to our hearts. Not really sure how it would go, we thought you don't know until you try!

So with the co-operation and hard work of our wonderful pupils, we raised a respectable £402.45p in our first year of trying, which was all donated to RNIB Cymru.

In 2013, we decided to hold another Practice-A-Thon, this time in aid of Diabetes UK Cymru. We knew we'd be pleased if we managed to raise another £400+ again, but to our delight, we raised an amazing £1295! Our heartfelt thanks must go to our pupils who worked hard in raising this amount. A special thank you must also go to our pupil Rev. Martyn Evans of Tredegar and his congregations who in themselves raised over £400.

2015

A very busy year in 2014 saw us expand our business and move into new premises, and saw us take on an unprecedented number of pupils, so sadly we were unable to complete a Practice - A - Thon, but we returned to our fundraising activities in 2015 with a highly successful concert held at Blackwood Masonic Hall in which over 40 pupils took part and together we managed to raise £1300 for Parkinson's Disease Society (Caerphilly Branch)

2016

In December 2016, we held a Christmas concert fundraiser, this time in support of our main beneficiary Sight Cymru who provide assistance to people with sight loss as well as help in preventing sight loss. More details can be found here: www.sightcymru.org.uk

We also provided financial support to the Caerphilly Branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society, during this fundraiser. More details to follow....
